Job summary

AbbVie offers an eleven-week summer internship in Human Resources, based in Lake County, IL, with AbbVie-sponsored relocation and travel benefits for eligible students. Interns undertake assignments across Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Employee Workplace Relations, and Learning & Leadership Development to build leadership capabilities.

Interns join a three-year accelerated HRLDP track designed to develop broad HR expertise through business-function placements and cross-functional projects

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited Master’s program with emphasis in Human Resources graduating between Dec 2027 - June 2028.
• Must be enrolled for at least one additional semester following the internship.
• Previous internship in Human Resources or related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a paid eleven-week summer program with meaningful assignments impacting AbbVie and patients.
• Rotational opportunities across Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Employee Workplace Relations, Learning & Leadership Development, Talent Management and Business HR.
• Develops technical knowledge, analytical strength, and creative problem solving through hands-on projects.
