Summer Help - Production Assembler

GRAND PRAIRIE - PLANT

6 DAYS A WEEK - Three shifts begin at 6:00AM, 2:00PM, and 10:00PM. Saturdays are required, with occasional Sunday hours. Shifts may vary.

$19.00 per hour.

As a member of the Production team, the primary role of the Assembler is to manufacture quality products in a safe manner. The Assembler is responsible for assembling and/or fitting parts together to form complete units or subassemblies at a bench or conveyor line, using simple hand tools, power tools, or special assembly tools.

The Role:

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

• Assembling by hand parts and components to build various sections of seats.
• Handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating parts and/or equipment.
• Identifying information by categorizing, estimating, and recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events.
• Inspecting seat equipment, structures, or materials to identify repair needs or defects.
• Observing, receiving, and obtaining information from relevant sources.
• Performing other duties as assigned by management.

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Reporting to the Line Supervisor as part of the Production department.
• Working as a team on a production line, adding components to seat assemblies.
• Ensuring safety and quality standards are followed at all times.
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Adhering to "5S" and "World Class Housekeeping" standards.
• Helping achieve team performance goals and objectives.
• Identifying and recording problems related to product, process, and quality systems.
• Recommending solutions through designated channels.
• Cleaning surrounding work areas.
• Performing other duties as assigned, depending on plant needs.
• Arranging actions in specific patterns or order.
• Frequently lifting, carrying, or moving objects up to 50 pounds.
• Standing, walking, sitting, and reaching with hands and arms frequently.
• Operating pneumatic tools.
• Frequently pushing and pulling objects weighing 5-30 lbs.

Your Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to pass pre-employment requirements including drug screening, physical, and background check.
