The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) provides nutritious food to youth ages 1-18 in low-income communities. The City of Seattle sponsors these federally funded meals and snacks to youth ages 1-18 at approximately 100 locations throughout Seattle, including playgrounds, community centers, library branches, summer schools, youth clubs, cultural organizations, housing communities. The program's goal is to connect youth with nutritious meals and meaningful activities when school is out.
This position involves food delivery duties for SFSP, a USDA-funded program that provides free meals to children and youth in low-income areas.
This is a high-energy summer job offering outdoor community engagement. Ideal candidates are punctual, detail-oriented, and available for the full summer without scheduled days off. The role requires driving a city-issued vehicle from the Seattle School District kitchen to designated sites across Seattle, following a specific route, and maintaining knowledge of Seattle’s geography and road safety. Interaction is primarily with school district staff and SFSP staff, with some contact with site personnel and youth.
This position is full-time, from approximately 6/11/2025 to 8/29/2025, with work hours from 8:00-4:30. It is not a remote position.

The full salary range is $26.95 - $31.34 per hour. Typical hours are 8:00-4:30, with occasional evenings or weekends.
