Job summary

Mount Hermon Association in Santa Cruz, CA is seeking a Summer Staff First Aid Coordinator to support health needs of campers and staff under the Camp Nurse.

This ministerial role requires American Heart Association First Aid/CPR/AED certification, a high school diploma, and leadership of a care team while upholding Mount Hermon’s mission and safety policies.

Responsibilities include stocking the healthcare center, documenting encounters, transporting to urgent care, and daily reporting.

Qualifications

• High school graduate.
• Current American Heart Association Certification in First Aid/CPR/AED including infant, child and adult.
• College coursework in preventative health, pharmacology, anatomy and physiology preferred.
• Must be 21+ with a clean driving record per MH policy.
• Preferred experience in health services or First Aid work.

Responsibilities

• Direct PL First Aid Technicians under CC Camp Nurse/Healthcare Services Administrator.
• Coordinate stocking of the PL Healthcare Center.
• Facilitate medication handling/dosing per MH policy.
• Transport campers/staff to urgent care per 2 Person Policy.
• Report campers needing offsite care to CC Camp Nurse.
• Access and review health history forms and MAR as needed.
• Report daily to CC Camp Nurse or Healthcare Administrator.
• Ensure weekly AED checks and documentation.
