Job summary

After School Matters is seeking a Summer Internship - Field Supervisor in Chicago, IL. The role oversees day-to-day logistics for teen internship programs, conducts site visits, tracks attendance, and submits reports to ensure program success.

The Field Supervisor serves as the primary contact for teens and parents and coordinates with CPL staff and other partners. This temporary, part-time position runs June 22 to Aug 7, 2025, at about 20 hours per week, with travel to multiple internship sites

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Ability to travel to internship sites.
• Knowledge of City of Chicago area helpful.
• Strong written and verbal communication with teens and parents.
• Experience working with teens in educational settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist with orientation for Chicago Public Library interns and parents before the program start date.
• Troubleshoot issues during the program session.
• Serve as main contact for teens and parents regarding inquiries.
• Help manage teen participants and track attendance in Cityspan.
• Conduct regular site visits at internship sites.
