Harkins Builders is offering a Summer 2027 Field Intern position in Asheville, NC. This temporary full‑time role provides hands‑on exposure to scheduling, submittals, shop drawings, site meetings, and safety/quality procedures under site management supervision.

Relevant coursework in construction management or engineering is preferred, with Procore and MS Office familiarity a plus. The intern will support tracking progress, documentation, and coordination with subcontractors while learning

Formación

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering.
• Basic scheduling understanding.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret plans and specs is a plus.
• Familiar with Procore and common MS Office tools is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Understand basic scheduling.
• Process shop drawings and submittals.
• Attend subcontractor meetings.
• Track job progress.
• Understand site logs, daily reports, transmittals and logs.
• Enforce the safety program at a zero-tolerance level and report violations.
• Understand the Quality Control Program.
• Notify site manager of changes or problems affecting contract documents.
• Seek approval before starting work outside contract scope.
• Maintain professionalism and integrity in communications.
• Produce high quality work in accordance with plans and specs.
• Exceed client expectations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
