Job summary

Butterball, America’s favorite turkey brand, invites you to join our summer internship as a Feed Mill Intern in Goldsboro, NC. You’ll learn feed manufacturing, ingredient management, and work with mill leaders on production, maintenance, and safety initiatives.

We’re looking for students pursuing a Bachelor’s in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Agribusiness, Agronomy, or related field, with an expected graduation date between Dec 2028 and Jun 2029.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Agribusiness, Agronomy, or a related field with an expected graduation date December 2028 through June 2029.
• Ability to work in a feed mill environment with exposure to dust, varying temperatures, noise, and heights.
• Willingness to learn, take initiative, and work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.

Responsibilities

• Learn the day-to-day operations of a feed mill, including feed manufacturing and ingredient management.
• Partner with mill leaders and team members to support production, maintenance, and safety initiatives.
• Assist with projects focused on process improvement, equipment reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Analyze operational data and present project findings and recommendations to leadership.
