Job summary

The Brook Hill Alliance is seeking a part-time Summer Assistant Academic Supervisor in Los Angeles. You will teach, lead, and support planning and logistics while engaging with international high school students.

Ideal candidates have teaching or youth-work experience, are flexible, and comfortable in a fast-paced, multicultural setting. This in-person role pays hourly and requires a background check.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be 18 years or older
• High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Familiar with Google Drive and Microsoft Office
• Teaching experience and youth work preferred
• Summer camp or student life experience considered a plus
• Background check and fingerprinting as required by state and federal regulations

Responsibilities

• Be on campus 8:00am–10:00am to support classroom setup and coordination
• Available to substitute 10:00am–12:30pm or 1:15pm–5:00pm on occasions
• Teach lessons using Brook Hill's curriculum and maintain a positive classroom
• Take attendance, follow procedures, and perform admin tasks
• Regularly communicate with the Academic Supervisor
• Build rapport with international students and support English development
• Assist management as needed
