Job summary

Sturm, Ruger & Co., Inc. invites engineering students to join its 2027 Summer Engineering Internship onsite in Prescott, AZ. You will rotate through CNC milling/turning, PLC programming, and fabrication on real production lines, mentored by senior engineers.

Starting wage is based on experience, with additional shift differential and quarterly profit sharing. Interns complete a yearned project, present results, and gain hands-on exposure to lean manufacturing, GD&T, and Kaizen practices.

Qualifications

• Sophomore year completed and enrolled in an accredited engineering degree program.
• Exposure to multiple facets of modern manufacturing.
• Ability to relocate to Ruger facilities for the internship duration.

Responsibilities

• Work with a mentor on a summer project to be implemented on the production line.
• Shadow engineers on design reviews, PD meetings, and supplier interactions.
• Present project outcomes to engineering and management.
