Job summary

Sturm, Ruger & Co., Inc. offers a 2027 Summer Engineering Internship onsite to expose students to modern manufacturing. Interns work on manufacturing lines with a mentor, performing a sponsored summer project that will be implemented on the production line.

Participants gain experience in CNC machining, GD&T, Lean methods, and quality testing, while developing teamwork and problem‑solving skills. Internship runs May–August with hourly pay, housing stipend, holiday pay, and profit sharing

Qualifications

• Sophomore year completed.
• Enrolled in an Accredited Engineering Degree Program.
• Temporarily relocate to Ruger facilities for the duration of the internship.
• Ability to work 40+ hours per week.
• CAD or Modeling experience.

Responsibilities

• Work on manufacturing lines under a mentor on a summer project.
• Design and build a project that will be implemented into the production line.
• Participate in design reviews and production planning.
• Shadow production associates to learn manufacturing methods.
• Present a final project to engineering and management.
