Job summary

Sturm, Ruger & Co., Inc. internship program offers hands‑on exposure to CNC milling, CNC turning, troubleshooting, and various machining processes. Interns work closely with mentors on projects that may be implemented on production lines.

You will gain experience in PLC programming, fabrication welding, solid modeling, gage design and validation, and kaizen teamwork while contributing to product assembly and lean initiatives.

Qualifications

• Sophomore year completed and engineering degree pursuit required.
• Enrolled in an accredited engineering degree program.
• Ability to relocate to Ruger facilities for duration.
• Ability to work 40+ hours per week.
• CAD or modeling experience.

Responsibilities

• Work with a mentor on a manufacturing line project assigned at start.
• Design and build a project for production line integration.
• Participate in design reviews and cross‑functional meetings.
• Shadow mentor on production support and supplier interactions.
• Communicate results through presentations to engineering and management.
