Job summary

KLN Family Brands/Tuffy’s Pet Foods in Perham, MN, invites an Electrician Apprentice Intern for the summer of 2027. You will work with our Electrical & Controls team to learn maintenance, troubleshooting, and safe work practices on-site.

The program targets second-year students in Electrical Technology or juniors in Electrical Engineering, offering hands-on experience with panels, breakers, VFDs, PLCs, and wiring.

Qualifications

• At least a second-year student pursuing an Associate Degree in Electrical Technology or a Junior pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Able to dedicate 10-12 weeks to the internship program for Summer 2027.
• Willing to work on-site at the Perham, MN facility.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience with day-to-day operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and components.
• Shadow experienced plant electricians to learn practical knowledge of electrical systems and safe work practices.
• Develop proficiency with electrical testing equipment and basic maintenance procedures.
