Job summary

Georgia‑Pacific Leaf River Cellulose is seeking a Summer Electrical & Instrumentation Intern at their Mississippi facility. The role offers a pay of $20.80 per hour and provides an opportunity to learn principles of electrical safety and automation systems in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include shadowing experienced teams, applying calibration methods, and learning PLC interfacing. Ideal candidates are currently enrolled in relevant technology programs and may have some experience in electrical and instrumentation equipment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a certificate or degree program in Electrical, Automation, or related fields.
• Experience with electrical and instrumentation equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply electrical safe work practices.
• Work within E&I teams and learn calibration methods for instrumentation.
• Shadow E&I teams during preventative maintenance and troubleshooting.
