Our Georgia‑Pacific Leaf River Cellulose facility is searching for a Summer Electrical & Instrumentation Intern. A successful individual will be self‑motivated, passionate about learning, and interested in pursuing an Electrical & Instrumentation or Automation career. A modified schedule may be considered but primary work hours are Monday‑Thursday 6:00 am‑4:30 pm. The pay for the position will be $20.80 per hour.
The Leaf River team has been on a journey for over 30 years to make the best products possible for customers while doing it in new and innovative ways. Our products include chemical cellulose, custom fibers, and nonwoven materials that are used in products such as diapers, baby wipes and coffee filters. Currently enrolled in a certificate, degree, workforce training, or accredited post‑secondary Technology program in one or more of the following: Electrical, Electro‑Mechanical, Automation & Controls, Instrumentation & Controls, Industrial Electronics, and/or Electronics.
Experience with and an understanding of electrical, instrumentation, and automation equipment.
