This paid, ten-week internship runs June 7, 2027 to Aug 13, 2027, at $22 per hour for 40 hours per week. You will gain valuable mentor support while contributing to FT journalism and audience strategies.

Qualifications

• Experience in journalism or student publication.
• Strong writing and editing skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Organised, curious and able to balance multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop original ideas, experiments and engagement/social media strategies around planned news events and projects.
• Assist the social media team with posts and keep channels up to date with the news agenda.
• Produce original social content (charts, cards, videos) to promote FT journalism.
• Engage readers directly through reader participation and community projects.
• Use data and insights to analyze audience behavior to inform journalism.
