Job summary

The Financial Times invites ambitious students to join its US newsroom internship. You will learn from editors and reporters in a fast-paced, multimedia newsroom and contribute to diverse projects that drive our journalism forward.

You will be paired with a Buddy for mentorship and support, with in-office presence required at least three days a week. The program pays $22 per hour for 40 hours weekly and runs from June 7, 2027 to August 13, 2027. Applicants must be authorised to work in the US.

Qualifications

• Proven interest in journalism.
• 3-4 examples of journalism exposure or coursework preferred.
• Curiosity about global markets, companies and economies.

Responsibilities

• Pitch, report, and write original news stories.
• Conduct interviews and develop sources.
• Assist senior correspondents with research and document analysis.
• Curate newsletters and contribute to digital projects.
• Collaborate with staffers on special projects.
