Job summary

MSD is offering a Future Talent Program summer internship in its Research Lab division, based in Boston, MA, with up to 12 weeks of hands-on projects in formulation development and manufacturing of oral, sterile, and specialty products.

Interns will work in a multidisciplinary group addressing drug delivery, solid-state and solution chemistry, and may present results in both oral and written formats. A collaborative environment with mentorship from industry scientists is provided.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled undergraduate (sophomore, junior, or senior) pursuing a bachelor's degree or graduate student pursuing a Masters or Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or Engineering.
• Available to work full-time for up to 12 weeks from June–August 2027.
• Completed at least 2 years of study toward bachelor's degree by June 2024.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively in a multi-functional team to support formulation development and manufacturing projects.
• Participate in departmental and project team meetings and present research results orally and in writing.
• Assist in drug delivery, solid-state/solution chemistry tools, and analytical method development.
• Collaborate with an experienced pharmaceutical industry scientist on a research project.
