GENERAL DUTIES:

  1. Maintain a valid Washington State Food Worker Card.
  2. Be responsible for the spiritual welfare of the Kitchen Staff and participate in daily meetings to share thoughts and concerns.
  3. Lead VIP campers with table setup and cleaning.
  4. Operate collaboratively with the kitchen staff as one team.
  5. Lead dining hall staff in cleaning and preparing for the next meal.
  6. Stock and replenish the snack table and coffee bar as needed.
  7. Attend and participate in evening programs and spiritual activities.
  8. Maintain cleanliness in personal grooming and living quarters.
  9. Assist with camp clean-up at the end of each session and summer.
  10. Prepare and deliver the Dining Hall Lead Maintenance camp brief at summer's end.
  11. Assist with evening cabin supervision.
  12. Participate in meal counts for USDA at each meal.
  13. Ensure the Staff Kitchen and snack table are clean, stocked, and well-managed.
  14. Exemplify Christ-like conduct and concern, serving as an appropriate and effective role model for campers and staff.
  15. Report suspected child abuse issues to the Assistant Camp Administrator and take proper actions.
  16. Report property maintenance issues to the Food Service Manager.
  17. Participate in camp-wide evening programs.
  18. Perform other duties as assigned by the Food Service Manager or Camp Administrator.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

Safety and Supervision

  1. Enforce camp policies and procedures.
  2. Maintain high safety standards for staff and campers at all times.
  3. Ensure compliance with American Camping Association safety standards.
  4. Coordinate and implement daily program components promptly.

WEEKLY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Prepare daily cleaning assignments.
  2. Maintain cleanliness of the Dining Hall with the help of the Maintenance staff.
  3. Keep the Coffee bar cleaned and stocked; delegate as needed.
  4. Facilitate cleaning, sanitizing, and setup for meals.
  5. Manage meal counts supporting USDA guidelines and report to the Office Manager.
  6. Assign kitchen staff to serve snacks to campers and staff as needed.
  7. Meet with program directors and Food Service Manager at session start to plan for special food-related events.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist regularly.
  2. Ability to grasp, push, pull, and reach overhead.
  3. Ability to operate a telephone, computer, and lift up to 25 lbs.
  4. Ability to access and process information via a computer and understand written material.
