GENERAL DUTIES:
- Maintain a valid Washington State Food Worker Card.
- Be responsible for the spiritual welfare of the Kitchen Staff and participate in daily meetings to share insights and encouragement.
- Lead VIP campers with table setup and cleaning.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff as one team.
- Lead dining hall staff in cleaning and preparing for the next meal.
- Stock and replenish the snack table and coffee bar as needed.
- Participate in evening programs and spiritual activities.
- Maintain cleanliness in personal grooming and living quarters.
- Assist with camp clean-up at the end of each session and summer.
- Prepare and deliver the Dining Hall Lead Maintenance camp brief at summer's end.
- Assist with evening cabin supervision.
- Participate in meal counts for USDA at each meal.
- Keep the Staff Kitchen and snack table clean, stocked, and well-managed.
- Set an example of Christ-like conduct and service for campers and staff.
- Report suspected child abuse issues to the Assistant Camp Administrator and take appropriate actions.
- Report property maintenance issues to the Food Service Manager.
- Attend and participate in camp-wide evening programs.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Food Service Manager or Camp Administrator.
SPECIFIC DUTIES: Safety and Supervision
- Enforce camp policies and procedures.
- Ensure safety for staff and campers at all times.
- Ensure compliance with American Camping Association safety standards.
- Coordinate and implement daily program components timely.
WEEKLY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare daily cleaning assignments.
- Maintain cleanliness of the Dining Hall with staff support.
- Keep the coffee bar clean and stocked; delegate when necessary.
- Facilitate cleaning, sanitizing, and setup for meals.
- Manage meal counts and supervise in support of USDA guidelines.
- Report meal counts to the Office Manager.
- Organize snack service for campers and staff as needed.
- Meet with program and food service staff to plan for special events.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist regularly.
- Ability to grasp, push, pull, and reach overhead.
- Operate a telephone, desktop, or laptop computer.
- Lift up to 25 lbs.
- Access and produce information from a computer.
- Understand written information.
