Job summary

Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP (SOM) invites motivated students to participate in its Summer Internship Program in architecture, structural and sustainable engineering, urban planning, graphic design, or interior design. The internship runs June 7, 2027 to August 13, 2027, with compensation based on experience and location, typically $25–$27 per hour.

Applicants must be returning to school in Fall 2027 and have some experience in the architectural profession or related arts.

Qualifications

• Current student in an accredited bachelor's or master's program in architecture or related field and returning to school in Fall 2027.
• Some experience in the architectural profession or associated arts.
• Strong design capabilities as demonstrated in portfolio or work samples.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino and visualization software.
