Job summary

Melaleuca: The Wellness Company is seeking an IT Security Intern in Idaho Falls for a ~90‑day summer program. You’ll join the Incident Response team on the front line of cyber security and gain hands‑on experience across incident handling, monitoring, and reporting.

You will work with senior engineers, learn mitigation techniques, and contribute to PCI/GDPR/Part 11 compliance projects while developing strong technical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Completion of cyber security specific courses.
• IT experience is beneficial, including help desk, systems administration, or networking.
• Pursuing a degree in Cyber Security.
• Preference for juniors or seniors in related field.
• Must be able to work in Idaho Falls for ~90 days.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher.

Responsibilities

• Respond to cyber security incidents with remediation and reporting.
• Escalate to senior engineers for high-priority incidents.
• Assist in mitigation techniques with other teams.
• Support Incident Response procedures.
• Review security logs and investigate findings.
• Coordinate cybersecurity projects with IT staff globally.
• Assist in PCI, GDPR, Part 11 compliance efforts.
• Audit access and permissions across environments.
