Job summary

Grosse Pointe Public Schools is seeking individuals for the summer of 2026 to perform custodial work across our buildings. These full- and/or part-time positions are ideal for college students home for the summer or anyone looking to earn extra money with flexible commitment.

Typical shifts are Monday through Friday with opportunities during holiday breaks; a background check including fingerprints is required. For questions, contact Randal Baker at [e-mail].

Qualifications

• Knowledge of materials, equipment, and methods commonly used in cleaning operations.
• Ability to perform physical labor required for cleaning duties, including relatively long hours while standing.
• Ability to follow simple oral and written instructions.
• Knowledge of proper use of cleaning equipment.
• Ability to work effectively with staff and students.
• Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning of building interior.
• Maintaining school grounds (exterior).
• Performs other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
