**Reports To:** Head custodian or building administrator

**Job Goal:**

Perform custodial work for routine housekeeping, care, maintenance, protection, and preservation of the assigned building, its contents, grounds, etc.

**Performance Responsibilities:**

1. Perform routine maintenance and housekeeping duties.
2. Ensure safety by removing snow, ice, and debris from walkways and entryways.
3. Assist in loading/unloading trucks, checking, and storing supplies.
4. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the building and specific areas, including sweeping, mopping, waxing, trash removal, restocking supplies, cleaning windows, dusting, and polishing furniture.
5. Maintain safety and security, including scheduled inspections.
6. Keep the building and grounds neat and presentable.
7. Perform opening and closing procedures, including turning on/off lights and equipment.
8. Maintain custodial equipment and materials.
9. Assist with moving furniture and equipment.
10. Report maintenance needs and make minor repairs.
11. Replenish supplies in restrooms and custodial areas.
12. Collaborate with staff to maintain a safe and sanitary environment.
13. Assist in kitchen and cafeteria housekeeping duties.
14. Complete required reports and forms.
15. Follow laws and procedures for waste disposal.
16. Report custodial problems to appropriate personnel.
17. Perform other duties as assigned.

**Additional Working Conditions:**
