**Temporary Summer June 22nd - August 8th, 2025 position**

Summer Crew Positions are for current RSD students and recent graduates

Job Title: Clerical / Office

Exemption Status: Non Exempt


Job Summary:

Provides clerical support to assigned personnel with Academics, District Office, RHS, RLA, Middle School, or Elementary School.Contributes to the smooth operation of assigned location in assisting with tasks such as organizing documents, managing schedules, and providing support to staff members.

Major Responsibilities and Duties :

Ability to utilize proper grammar, spelling and punctuation; make accurate mathematical calculations, compile and maintain accurate records and reports; understand and carry out oral and written instructions; meet the public courteously and tactfully while performing a variety of tasks. Promotes good working relationships with students, staff, parents and others while preserving the privacy of confidential matters which may occur within the scope of assigned duties.

Duties may vary from site to site, based upon program and personnel needs as determined by the site administrator(s). General duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Performs a variety of routine clerical duties such as processing documents and records, extracting and compiling records or data, responding to routine inquiries concerning office/departmental services and procedures, maintaining and monitoring established record keeping, filing and data base systems, and producing forms, letters, record entries and other material .
  • Sorts, files, and tabulates various documents and records; establishes and prepares new files or categories within established filing systems; enters and retrieves data using electronic files; removes and logs materials; maintains status and file reports;
  • Receives, sorts, and distributes mail, messages, records, office supplies, and other materials;
  • Performance responsibilities include knowledge of office procedures, computer literacy, filing systems, utilizing office equipment. Performs other such related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:

  • Indoor office environment
  • Balancing, bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, and standing
  • Lifting, carrying, and moving work-related supplies and equipment
  • Frequent hand/wrist motion, i.e. keyboarding
  • Frequent sitting and standing

Qualifications:

  • Education/Certification:
    • No experience required
    • Must be 16 yrs or older.
    • Oregon Fingerprinting and Criminal Background Check clearance
  • Special Knowledge/Skills /Abilities :
    • Knowledge— of standard office equipment.
    • Skills— of o pera ting standard office equipment including use of computer applications, use English in both written and verbal form, use correct spelling, grammar and punctuation.
    • Abilities— to sit for prolonged periods, understand and carry out oral and written instruction. Significant physical abilities include reaching/handling/fingering, talking/hearing conversations, near visual acuity/visual accommodation

Schedule:4 hrs a day, 4 days per week, 4-6 weeks
