Job summary

Gerald Group offers a 10-week Summer Internship Program in the Credit Department based in Stamford, CT. Interns will assist with credit risk assessments, financial analysis, and KYC reviews across trading desks, developing skills in credit risk management within the commodities sector.

Applicants should be juniors or seniors in a 4-year college, with a plus for CFA candidates, and must be able to work full-time at the Stamford office for the 10-week period.

Qualifications

• Junior or senior year in a 4-year college/university.
• CFA candidate is a plus.
• Must work in Stamford, CT office 5 days a week.
• Major in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or similar.
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Self-starter, able to work independently or in a team environment.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office applications with advanced Excel skills in modeling and financial valuation.
• Highly proactive attitude.
• Ability to work 40 hours/week
• Multi-lingual candidates are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Gain practical knowledge and exposure to credit risk assessment and KYC processes across all trading desks of the Gerald Group.
• Assist with credit reviews by analyzing financial data and other market-related information.
• Conduct company and industry research to support creditworthiness assessments and risk monitoring.
• Special projects and other administrative functions as assigned.
