Job summary

Entergy in The Woodlands, TX is seeking a Student, Intern Construction Engineer for Summer 2027. The role supports Grid Modernization deployment through scoping, design, and engineering activities across Entergy’s operating companies.

The intern will develop plans, review designs, and coordinate with multiple teams to ensure safety and reliability of grid projects. Onsite work with travel up to 25% may occur during program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from a four-year accredited institution.
• PE certification may be considered; minimum GPA 2.8 on a 4.0 scale.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed scoping and engineering plans for projects.
• Ensure adherence to Grid Modernization standards in scoping/design.
• Collaborate with PM, DOC, Data Maintenance, Planning, Operations and Transmission.
• Review design deliverables for internal and external quality.
• Audit design packages and construction work for standards compliance.
• Assist Right Of Way with permitting as needed.
• Support change management and rollout of new program development.
• Assist distribution automation in implementing smart devices for Grid Mod projects.
• Participate in industry knowledge sharing and best practices meetings.
