Job summary

The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond offers a Summer Internship on the Community Development team to work on programs addressing challenges faced by low-to-moderate income households. Interns support data analysis, event planning, and external engagement, gaining exposure to community development work and mentorship opportunities.

Selected interns participate in workshops, network with professionals, and contribute to workshops, conferences, and regional initiatives while developing business

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled college student with at least a 3.0 GPA; rising junior or senior preferred.
• Significant economics coursework and interest in public engagement.
• Familiarity with the Federal Reserve System and strong presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists department with development and design of resources and programs.
• Supports planning and managing meetings, workshops, conferences and events.
• Supports development of marketing and communication materials.
• Prepares resource and handout packets for presentations.
• Tabulates evaluations and analyzes feedback for programs; checks facts and references.
• Assists in coordinating presentations on site.
• Performs research tasks such as literature reviews and special projects.
