Job summary

American Family Insurance is seeking a Summer 2027 Intern in Claims for a 10–14 week program starting mid-May and ending in August. You will learn the claims lifecycle, participate in meetings, and shadow different teams to gain a broad understanding of the business.

You report to the Adjusting Services Senior Manager and gain exposure to vendor interactions, leadership sessions, and real-world claims experience with mentorship and hands-on training.

Qualifications

• Must be a current student at an accredited 4-year college or university.
• Expected to graduate August 2027 or later.
• Major should align with internship role.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of our business and claims lifecycle.
• Contribute ideas and strategies in response to changing situations.
• Learn claims processes through mentorship and hands-on training.
• Attend leadership and vendor meetings to observe decision-making.

Education

Pursuing Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Business, Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, or related field
