Freeport-McMoRan in New Orleans invites you to join our Civil Engineering internship program for the summer. Under supervision, you will assist with data entry, drawing updates, and the design of small engineering projects, gaining hands-on experience in a collaborative environment.

The role is open to full-time students or recent graduates in Civil Engineering, with emphasis on Microsoft Office, data analysis, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled full-time in a four-year university pursuing Civil Engineering or related field.
• Recent graduate within 12 months of internship start date in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilités

• Assembles data and assists with problem-solving requiring basic engineering theories.
• Uses computer programs to solve engineering problems and update drawings.
• Assists in review, investigation and development of recommendations for small to mid-size projects.
• Assists with specification development and maintaining project documentation.
• May participate in survey or GPS mapping tasks.
