Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Civil Engineer Intern with 2–4 years of civil engineering experience to join our New Orleans, LA team. Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Civil Engineering degree.
• Current Engineer Intern (EI) certification in Louisiana.
• 2–4 years of civil engineering experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to work in both field and office environments.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Support municipal and transportation infrastructure projects from design through construction.
• Review and interpret engineering plans, specifications, design information, and contract documents.
• Provide field and office engineering support for construction administration activities.
• Coordinate with Resident Inspectors, project staff, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Assist with review of contractor quantities and documentation for payments.
• Perform site visits and document construction progress and field conditions.
• Assist with meeting documentation and project coordination.
