Job summary

IMEG in Hardin, MT offers a 10–12 week Civil Engineering Intern program for Summer 2027. You will gain hands-on experience in engineering analysis, design, field inspections, and permit preparation while learning the civil engineering trade.

You will support project documentation, site observations, and cross-disciplinary collaboration across survey, tribal, and public works markets in a 100% employee-owned firm with a strong mentorship program.

Qualifications

• Two years completed toward a BS in Civil Engineering or equivalent required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CAD, and BIM.
• Clear communication in oral and written forms is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design portions of projects according to IMEG standards.
• Research resources for commercially available equipment.
• Support client relations, project notebooks, and documentation files.
• Coordinate design and schedules with other disciplines (architecture, structural, electrical, mechanical).
• Document design decisions and meetings; monitor progress.
