Job summary

IMEG Corporation is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for the 2027 summer program in Nashua, NH or Burlington, MA. Over 10–12 weeks, you will assist with civil engineering analysis, design, field inspections, report writing, permit applications, and site drainage and grading design while gaining hands-on field experience.

You will work with a team of experienced engineers and consultants, supporting projects within budgets and across municipal and environmental sectors.

Qualifications

• Two years of undergraduate study toward a BS in Civil Engineering.
• May assist with field duties such as surveying and materials testing.
• Strong interest in design consulting and teamwork.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CAD software, and BIM.
• Clear written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist with civil engineering analysis, design, field inspections, report writing, permit applications, and site drainage and grading design work.
• Support design portions of projects according to code and IMEG standards.
• Research commercially available equipment and project resources.
• Help maintain client relations, project design notebooks, and permanent record documentation.
• Coordinate design and schedule information with architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical, and equipment suppliers.
• Document design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while monitoring project design progress.
• Review project documents for accuracy and completeness before final check.
• Assist with preparation and issuance of addendum information.
• Conduct periodic job site observations and other services required by the contract services agreement.
• Work within project budgets and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations.
