Job summary

Timber-Lee is seeking a Timber Challenge Facilitator for a live-in summer role. You will operate zipline, high ropes, climbing tower, and archery, prioritizing safety while fostering confidence and teamwork among campers.

You will live on-site with housing and meals provided, participate in training, and contribute to a mission-driven environment through ministry activities every evening and on weekends.

The course is calling. This isn't just a summer job, it's a mission.

Spend your summer 50 feet up, walking campers through the moment they decide they can do it. As a Timber Challenge Facilitator, you'll run the zipline, high ropes, climbing tower, and archery range, keeping safety and spiritual impact at the center of every element.

What You'll Do

• Facilitate high-adventure activities including zipline, high ropes, tower, and archery
• Prioritize safety while encouraging confidence and teamwork
• Assist in maintaining challenge course areas and equipment
• Help campers and guests feel welcomed and supported
• Reflect Christ's love through your actions and words
• Participate in staff training and team meetings
• Assist with camper arrival and departure on weekends
• Participate in camp activities planned by the Recreation and Ministry Departments, primarily after dinner hours
• Flex into other roles and temporary assignments as needed, including Cabin Leader

Important Role Details

Requirements

What We're Looking For

• A professing Christian with a personal faith
• Comfort working at height and confidence following detailed safety procedures
• Strong attention to detail and sound judgment under pressure
• Interest in mentoring and working with youth
• Willingness to be fully engaged in a live-in summer camp environment

Physical Requirements

• Able to work at heights up to 55 feet while wearing protective gear
• Able to reach and touch items at a height of 84 inches off the ground
• Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Must remain below the manufacturer's maximum climber weight of 265 pounds

Summer Schedule

• Staff Training: June 1 - June 12
• Camp Sessions: June 13 - August 7
