Qualifications

Job description

Job Summary

The Site Director is the on-site leader and point person for their assigned three week summer camp session(s). Reporting to the Program Manager (PM), the Site Director (SD) is responsible for facilitating a fun, safe, mission-driven environment for our campers, staff, and families while managing day-to-day operations, communications, and supervising the teaching team.

General Accountabilities:

  1. Facilitate a mission-driven environment for your campers and team members at your site.
  2. Establish and maintain interpersonal relationships with campers and staff.
  3. Facilitate all-camp activities that encourage teamwork and collaboration amongst staff and campers.
  4. Observe and participate in daily workshops noting staff strengths and areas of growth.
  5. Respectfully communicate observations with your PM on a weekly or as needed basis.
  6. Model the Kid Stock NORMS for your campers and staff.
  7. Represent the Kid Stock brand.
  8. Exercise efficiency and critical thinking to troubleshoot at your site on a daily basis.
  9. Execute long-term goals & timelines for the site.
  10. Create daily schedules in collaboration with teaching artists (i.e., set priority days, daily timelines, etc.).
  11. Coordinate daily set-up & clean-up.
  12. Ensure equipment and supplies are secured daily.
  13. Coordinate staff meetings as needed.
  14. Manage regular communications with campers, team members, and families.
  15. Ensure goals and timelines are met, and adjust plans as needed.
  16. Be aware of any and all individual special needs of students and staff.
  17. Oversee safety compliance at your site.
  18. Coordinate with your PM regarding supplies and camp needs.
  19. Coordinate show production at your site.
  20. Manage student and staff attendance.
  21. Work as lead instructor when applicable.

Job Qualifications:

  1. Education: Bachelor’s degree or equal experience.
  2. Experience: 3-plus years leadership experience. Leadership experience in an educational setting preferred.
  3. Driver’s License and transportation preferred.
