Camp Kern is seeking a Resident Camp Counselor for a traditional camp setting in Ohio. The role focuses on providing a high-quality experience for children ages 9–11, ensuring safety and growth, and supporting staff through teamwork.

The position requires 18+ years of age, a high school diploma or GED, and childcare experience. Weekly pay ranges from $275 to $480, with room and board provided and on-site living during the summer season.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 2-year college degree preferred.
• Must be over 18 years of age.
• Experience engaging children in activities that build self-esteem.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing weekly lesson plans tailored to children's needs and development.
• Lead and facilitate group activities and camp songs.
• Ensure safety by enforcing activity and aquatic rules and supervising with proper ratios.
• Communicate with parents and document important information.
• Maintain records of attendance and incidents.
