Job summary

Girl Scouts River Valleys is seeking a Summer Camp Program Counselor to support campers in Minnesota and Wisconsin. You will orient and welcome campers, help plan schedules, ensure daily routines, and guide participation in outdoor activities while maintaining a safe, inclusive environment.

The role requires living on-site in camp housing. Compensation starts at $650 per week with potential for higher starting rates based on experience; CPR/First Aid and lifeguard certifications are available

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ or have high school diploma by camp start.
• Willing to live on-site in camp housing.
• First Aid/CPR certification or ability to obtain it (GSRV assists).
• Ability to interact well with campers of all ages.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skill in designated camp program areas and safety.

Responsibilities

• Direct, supervise and organize campers in small groups across activities.
• Assist in development and implementation of program activities for campers.
• Model positive attitude and behavior for campers and staff.
• Create an inclusive environment where all campers feel supported and affirmed.
