Qualifications

Wonderspring is gearing up for a fun-filled summer and looking for a Summer Camp Assistant Teacher to join our seasonal team at the Hartranft Center! From June 30 through August 22, you’ll work full-time (Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM), supporting engaging, hands-on activities that spark creativity, teamwork, and growth in every camper.Become part of an organization that not only values FUN but also focuses on developing your skills and talents.What You’ll Get to Do (and Have Fun Doing!)- Support Lead Teachers in delivering weekly themed activities in arts, STEM, literacy, and outdoor play.
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that promotes teamwork and social-emotional development.
- Assist in supervising group transitions, meals, field trips, and enrichment sessions.
- Model respectful, developmentally appropriate interactions and guide children through conflict resolution.
- Help maintain attendance records, incident reports, and behavior documentation.
Your Special Skills & Qualities- High School Diploma or GED required; CDA preferred.
- At least two years' experience in early childcare education (2,500 verified hours).
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before start date).
- Experience working with children in educational or recreational settings preferred.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively in emergencies.
