Job summary

The City of Mesquite (NV) is seeking a dedicated staff member to assist in planning and delivering the city's instructional and non-instructional program services for children. Under general supervision, you will help run activities, supervise participants, and ensure safety and order.

Responsibilities include welcoming families, supervising sign-in/out, guiding activities, enforcing rules, and maintaining a positive, professional environment across program sites.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of City and department policies, and applicable laws and licensing.
• Ability to use initiative and work independently within established guidelines.
• Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Represent the City with professionalism in interactions with employees and the public.
• Provide excellent customer care and supervise participants in a safe environment.
• Greet parents during sign-in and pick-up.
• Verify government-issued photo ID and Participant Information before releasing a child.
• Instruct and assist with arts, crafts, games, and sports.
• Assist with roll call, supervision during activities and breaks.
• Enforce rules and safety precautions of programs and facilities.
