Job summary

The City of Las Vegas Parks, Recreation & Cultural Affairs department is seeking a Sr Assistant for part-time, hourly work. The role includes assisting the Site Leader, supporting camp programs and daily operations, and providing on-site guidance and safety oversight.

Hours are limited to 19 per week, with potential duties across facilities and recreation spaces. Candidates should be 18+, with preferred experience with children and group settings, and must pass pre-employment checks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Experience with children in a group setting preferred.
• Ability to read and write at a sufficient level for job performance.

Responsibilities

• Assist Site Leader with administrative responsibilities.
• May serve as camp director in the Site Leader's absence.
• Support camp program implementation and daily operations.
• Provide daily on-site program guidance, safety, and staff support.
• Participate in Weekly Planning process and staff leadership.
