Supervisor's Title: Summer Administrator

Positions Supervised: None

Exemption Status: Non-Exempt

FTE: PT, Monday-Thursday, Hours dependent on route

Pay Range: Per CBA

Dates and Hours

• June 23 - July 17, 2025
• Monday-Thursday, including morning pick up drop off. Complete route to be determined based on enrollment.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required

• Responsible for providing safe transportation for students between pick up points and school.
• Maintain order during trips and adherence to safety rules when loading and unloading students.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Must hold a current school bus driver's authorization issued by the Superintendent of Public Instruction.
• Must hold a commercial driver's license appropriate for the size vehicle, including a passenger endorsement and a school bus endorsement (with the air brake restriction removed if driving a bus with air brakes).
• Must hold a current and valid first aid card or equivalent which certifies applicant has completed a course in the basic principles of first aid.
• Maintain and carry a valid Department of Transportation medical examiners certificate.
• Must be able to lift a maximum of sixty (60) pounds.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for driving a bus on assigned routes in a legal and safe manner.
• Instruct students in emergency bus evacuation procedures.
• Instruct students in proper bus conduct.
• Fuel bus as needed.
• Clean the exterior of bus as needed.
• Report all bus mechanical deficiencies to the mechanic.
• Pay is based on the current PSE Bus Driver rate.
• Must pass a valid Washington State Background Check.
