Job summary

Aiken County Public Schools is seeking teachers for the acGATEWAY Summer Arts Program to provide rigorous instruction in visual and performing arts for Elementary to Middle/High grades. Instructors will prepare student portfolios and participate in a final showcase and gallery of student work at Aiken High School.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with a fine arts certification and experience in gateways and arts disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Certification in fine arts area.
• Experience with Gateway and visual or performing arts.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in your chosen arts discipline and develop a substantial body of work.
• Maintain a rigorous classroom environment with high expectations and feedback.
• Prepare students for the final showcase and gallery presentation.
• Collaborate with colleagues to produce the student showcase and gallery.
• Monitor progress and assign final grades for the program period.
• Assist with move-in/move-out logistics and classroom setup.
