Job summary

Life Time, Inc. is seeking an Aquatics Lifeguard to ensure safety and deliver excellent customer service at its indoor and outdoor pools. You will monitor the deck, oversee water slides, and assist with aquatic events like Dive in Movies and Poolapalooza.

The role requires Lifeguard and First Aid certification, the ability to swim 300 yards, tread water for 1 minute, and retrieve a 10 lb diving brick. Physical stamina for long shifts is needed.

Qualifications

• Working toward a High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
• Lifeguard and First Aid Certification are required.
• Ability to swim 300 yards/meters without stopping.
• Ability to tread water for 1 minute.
• Ability to swim, retrieve a 10 lb diving brick from the bottom of the pool and swim it to the top.
• Ability to bend to raise more than 20 lbs.

Position Summary

As an Aquatics Lifeguard, you must be safety minded and customer service oriented. You will work in a fast-paced environment and will help to oversee state-of-the-art recreational and lap pools, both indoor and out. You will monitor the pool deck and maintain safety on water slides. You will help with aquatics events, such as "Dive in Movies" & " Poolapalooza."

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Greets and interacts with Members
• Rescues swimmers in danger of drowning and administers first aid
• Ensures swimmers are aware of potentially dangerous swim areas and activities
• Keeps the pool area clean and orderly to ensure the safety of the Members

Position Requirements

• Working towards a High School Diploma or GED
• Lifeguard and First Aid Certified
• Ability to work in a stationary position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
• Ability to swim 300 yards/meters without stopping
• Ability to tread water for 1 minute
• Ability to swim, retrieve a 10 lb diving brick from the bottom of the pool and swim the brick to the top without stopping
• Ability to routinely bend to raise more than 20 lbs

Preferred Requirements

• 6 months of customer service experience

Pay

This is an hourly position with wages starting at $17.50 and pays up to $20.50, based on experience and qualifications.
