Job summary

Union Home Mortgage offers the L.E.A.D Internship Program, a 3-month summer internship where interns work 40 hours a week in a real software team environment. You’ll learn AI-assisted development, translate requirements into code, and participate in Agile rituals alongside experienced engineers.

Interns are treated like full-time Partners, compensated, and based at headquarters in Strongsville, OH. This role provides hands-on experience with modern tools and practices in software engineering.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a 4-year college degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• Completion of programming coursework or equivalent hands-on development experience.
• Exposure to AI-assisted development tools is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions with guidance from experienced software engineers.
• Use AI-assisted development tools throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Translate product requirements into functional software with user stories and designs.
• Create and maintain unit and integration tests and participate in CI/CD processes.
