Job summary

Skyworks Solutions, Inc is offering a Manufacturing Digital Transformation & AI Summer Intern position at its Newbury Park site. You will gain hands-on experience applying data analytics, automation, and AI-powered tools to boost factory performance in a high-tech semiconductor environment.

You will collaborate with engineers and business teams to build dashboards, automate tasks, and apply Industry 4.0 concepts, gaining exposure to Power BI, AI solutions, and modern digital tools.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in an engineering, CS, data science, IS, IE, or related field.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Familiarity with Python, SQL, Power BI or similar data tools.
• Detail-oriented with clear documentation and presentation of findings.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage time effectively.
• Willingness to learn new tools and techniques for manufacturing and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Create dashboards and visualizations for faster, data-driven decisions.
• Develop AI-assisted tools to improve manufacturing efficiency.
• Support projects involving process automation, digital transformation, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
• Help build automated/smart shift passdowns and reporting tools.
• Develop continuous improvement tools for root-cause analysis and 5-Why investigations.
• Assist with digital solutions for safety programs, near-miss tracking, and 5S assessments.
• Participate in Lean Manufacturing and process improvement projects with experienced engineers.
