Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking an Aeromechanical Engineering Intern for US locations. You will work with experienced engineers on airframe structures, CAD modeling, and prototyping in a dynamic IPT environment.

This Summer internship offers hands-on experience from concept to prototyping, with exposure to SolidWorks, 3D printing, and design reviews, while developing practical problem-solving skills in aerospace.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Experience with SolidWorks for 3D modeling.
• Fundamental understanding of statics, dynamics, thermodynamics.
• Interest in air vehicles or UAVs.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and development of airframe structures for UAV systems.
• Create and modify 3D CAD models and assemblies using SolidWorks.
• Support basic mechanical analysis with guidance from senior engineers.
• Participate in prototype fabrication, 3D printing, and lab testing.
• Help create and revise engineering drawings, BOMs, and documentation.
