Job summary

GHJ, a national independent advisory, tax and accounting firm based in Los Angeles, is seeking an Advisory - CAAS Intern for Summer 2027. You will be treated as a professional and dive into assignments and projects during the internship.

The internship runs June 14, 2027 to August 13, 2027, from Monday to Friday, with a $33/hour pay rate; interns will be paid during Wellness Week closure and no benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Accounting or related field graduating between May 2028 – August 2028.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Excellent customer service skills (internal and external).
• Creative problem solving and research skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Openness to travel to client locations with colleagues, which may include occasional overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in training exercises and discussions.
• Perform research and analysis for Advisory Projects.
• Assist with the creation of deliverables for Advisory Clients.
• Develop technical competency within the applicable Advisory Groups.
• Identify problems, gather insight, and offer potential solutions on engagements.
• Actively learn, ask questions, and grow your understanding of the Advisory Practice and the applicable Advisory Groups’ service offerings.
• Actively work in and on client’s books and accounting records and assist other team members on the same including drafting journal entries, entering transactions, reconciling accounts, and assisting in month end close processes and review.
