Job summary

Goddard Riverside’s Beacon Community Centers in New York City are seeking an Activity Specialist to guide groups of children in creative activities после school hours and during the summer session. You will work with other staff to foster social-emotional growth and a positive, expressive atmosphere across multiple activity areas.

The role runs weekdays and weekends from July 1, 2026 to August 28, 2026, with flexible 6pm–10pm on weekdays, and 3pm–10pm on weekends, up to 20 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Be responsible for facilitation of creative activities in a school setting.
• Assist groups of children in developing social-emotional skills.
• Collaborate with staff to maintain a safe and engaging environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead activity sessions in Art, CS, Dance, Games/Sports, Music or Storytelling.
• Support social-emotional growth through group work and positive interactions.
• Maintain safety and order during after-school and summer hours.
