Job summary

P2S|CMTA in Long Beach, CA offers a Summer Internship for accounting students. You will join the Accounting team, gaining hands-on experience with real-world financial processes and month-end close activities.

The 10-12 week program runs June through August (or September depending on availability), with in-office scheduling Monday–Friday. Undergraduate interns earn $24/hour and graduate interns $26/hour, while supporting audits, AR/AP, and reporting tasks.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s program in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Detail‑oriented with strong attention to detail.
• Communication skills: good verbal and written communication.
• Team player with the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
• Time management and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
• Reconcile accounts, ledgers, and journal entries.
• Assist with month-end close activities.
• Assist AP and AR departments with department related activities to ensure timely payments and collections.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to leadership.
• Support audits and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
