Job summary

Howmet Aerospace offers a 12-week Summer 2027 internship in Corporate Information Technology, based in Pittsburgh, PA. You will tackle real-world IT projects, work with HR and IT systems, and gain exposure to Oracle VBCS, Fusion AI Agents, and ServiceNow incidents while learning PMO practices.

We seek a motivated student enrolled in a BS IT field with a 3.0+ GPA, capable of teamwork, problem solving, and initiative.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science or related IT field with expected graduation Fall 2027 or Spring 2028.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA or equivalent.
• Demonstrated internship, work, research, or extracurricular participation.
• Willingness to learn and understand the business.
• Involved in at least 1 extracurricular activity.
• Interns must be legally authorized to work in the United States (visa sponsorship not available).
• Preferred: previous IT internship with a global employer; project experience with security tools or procedures; ability to manage projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support Oracle VBCS development: configure workflow, approval routing, and UI/UX for HR.
• Deploy and test Fusion AI Agents: evaluate use cases, validate outputs, and integrate AI automation into HCM Cloud workflows.
• Assist in troubleshooting IT/HR issues with Root Cause Analysis and cross-team collaboration.
• Work with integrations (OIC, REST/SOAP) to test flows and document results.
• Analyze SNOW incident trends to identify recurring issues and GIS GPS improvements.
• Participate in PMO meetings to learn project management practices and support status tracking.
• Research Oracle features and AI capabilities, share insights with the team.

Your education is just the beginning - you'll become an active member of our Corporate Information Technology team located in Pittsburgh, PA. During our 12-week internship program, you'll tackle real-world challenges through impactful assignments, and work alongside our industry changemakers.

The Intern - Corporate Applications (IT) will be involved with or exposed to the following IT areas:

• Support Oracle VBCS development: configure workflow, approval routing, and UI/UX for corporate HR.

• Deploy and test Fusion AI Agents: evaluate use cases, validate outputs, and integrate AI automation into HCM Cloud workflows.

• Assist in troubleshooting IT/HR issues, supporting cross team problem solving using Root Cause Analysis best practices.

• Work with integrations (OIC, REST/SOAP) to test flows and document results.

• Analyze ServiceNow (SNOW) incident trends to identify recurring issues and GIS GPS delivery model improvement opportunities.

• Participate in PMO meetings to learn corporate project management practices and support status tracking.

• Research new Oracle features, AI capabilities, and low code tools, and share insights with the team.

• Analysis, design, system development, and life-cycle methodologies
• Translate customer business requirements into technical solutions identifying key deliverables
• Hands‑on working short term assignments with VBCS, OCI, IAM, Fusion AI Agents (Oracle Cloud Ecosystem)
• Follow departmental processes procedures and produce required documentation,
• Adhere to Howmet IT SDLC, Security, Compliance, GIS GPS Change Control and standard operating procedures
• Work independently, directly with customers, as well as work group

Qualifications

Your Education, Skills, and Experience:

* Interns must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Compensation for this internship opportunity ranges between $20- $22 per hour. (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to factors such as education, experience, skillset, and/or location).

A relocation stipend in the amount of $3,600 will be provided to students located 50+ miles from the physical location of the internship.
