Job summary

ITC Holdings Corp. is seeking an Accounting Intern for its Summer 2027 program in Novi, MI.

The role provides hands-on experience in financial reporting, data analysis, and compliance across rotating groups such as financial reporting, internal audit, corporate accounting, fixed assets, tax, or accounting policy. You will assist with data entry, journal entries, and month-end close activities while gaining exposure to multiple corporate teams and projects.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum GPA: 3.0.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Basic understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• 12-week program during the summer with 40-hour weeks.
• Authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist with data entry, filing, and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Prepare journal entries and support month-end close activities.
• Support the preparation of financial statements, reports, and variance analyses.
• Assist with tax computations, returns, and audit documentation.
• Use Excel and accounting software for reporting and analysis tasks.
• Participate in internal audit activities and reviews of controls and compliance.
• Join team meetings and special projects to learn industry practices.
